Known as the Ships Graveyard,

Bowling harbour is host to a number of rotting vessels.

The harbour was used for scrapping small ships in the period after 1945.

 After that it fell into disuse.

Some boats remained and were joined by others.

 In 2001 a survey of the harbour recorded 21 abandoned wrecks.
