the City owned over 3,000 horses.

 The last horse tram ran in 1902.

was built at the 
William Denny shipyard at Dumbarton

 The 871 gross registered ton 
steamer

 
was powered by three direct drive 
steam turbines,

 and carried 2086 passengers

 - the largest excursion turbine on the 
River Clyde.
