Snow Lake ( Lukpe Lawo ) is a high-altitude glacial basin.

Snow Lake is approximately 10 miles ( 16km ) wide

at the head of the Biafo and Hispar glaciers.

These two glaciers flow down in opposite directions

from the Hispar Pass forming a 61 mile ( 100km ) river of ice

that is among the world's longest continuous glacier systems

outside the polar regions.
