| Old Store in Rhyolite Ghost Town Rhyolite is a ghost town in the state of Nevada. It is in the Bullfrog Hills near the eastern edge of Death Valley about 120 miles ( 190km ) northwest of Las Vegas. The town began in early 1905 after a gold discovery in the surrounding hills. Thousands of gold-seekers, developers, miners and service providers then settled in Rhyolite. |
