Phra Sumen Fort in Santichaiprakan Park

Phra Sumen Fort is one of the two remaining forts in Old Bangkok and one of 14 city watchtowers that punctuated the old city wall. It was constructed to cover the Chao Phraya River. The fort is sited at the confluence of the Chao Phraya River and the Banglamphu Canal. The Banglamphu Canal was one of the canals built for protection around the Old City of Bangkok. |
