Castle Varrich above the Kyles of Tongue on the Northern Coast of Scotland Varrich Castle ( Caisteal Bharraich ) is at the foot of Ben Loyal overlooking the Kyles of Tongue and the village of Tongue. The castle was the ancient seat of the Clan Mackay. It is thought to be over one thousand years old and to have been built on top of an old Norse fort. |
