Fintry is a small village in central Scotland,
nestling in S
trathendrick ( Valley of the Endrick Water )
between the 
Campsie Fells and the Fintry Hills,
 some 19 miles (30.5 km) north of 
Glasgow.
 The centre of the village
along Main Street is a Conservation Area

Culcreuch Castle at Fintry

Culcreuch Castle at Fintry beneath Stronend

The castle ( a rectangular tower house
built in 1296 )
has been the home of the Barons of Culcreuch since 1699.

It was converted to a hotel, venue and visitor attraction
 in the 1980s.
