Nepal Peaks

Situated in the heart of the Dhaulagiri region, Thapa ( Dhampus ) Peak

is an interesting objective for trekkers / climbers on the Dhaulagiri Circuit.

Starting near the pass a gently rising slope leads to the summit.

Although the mountain exceeds 6000 metres

no technical climbing is involved in reaching the summit.

Impressive surroundings of seven and eight thousanders

make this a worthwhile undertaking

- the summit yields views of more than thirty mountains

including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri

separated by the deepest gorge in the world.
