Taiping is the wettest town in Peninsular Malaysia.
 The high rainfall has furnished its Lake Gardens
with a magnificent collection of flora and century-old rain trees.

The gardens are located at the edge of Taiping town centre
 adjacent to Taiping Zoo and beneath Bukit Larut / Maxwell Hill.
