Killarney is in County Kerry in southwest Ireland.
The town is located to the north of the Macgillycuddy Reeks which are part of Killarney National Park.
Killarney is a popular tourist destination due to its natural heritage,
proximity to the Dingle Peninsula and location on the Ring of Kerry.
Ross Castle was built in the late 1400s and was the ancestral home of the O'Donoghue clan.
It is located on the edge of Lough Leane in Killarney National Park
