James Ingram, ( c1820 - 1885 ), Weighing machine maker. Recorded as employing 2 men and a boy in 1861 census. Born in Ireland - the son of John Ingram and Maria Earl. Married Elizabeth Harvey Walker ( 1822 - 1890 ) the daughter of Robert Walker, farmer, ( 1780 - ? ) and Elizabeth Harvie ( 1785 - ? ) Corporal in the 3rd Lanarkshire Volunteer Rifles. 9 children identified:-
