Lenin Park ( Pho Tran Nhan Tong ) in Hanoi Lenin Park (originally "Seven-Hectare Lake" ) was once the dumping ground of Hanoi for household waste. The grounds around the lake were subsequently transformed by Ho Chi Minh with gardens, paths, statues and an area for theatrical performances. The new Reunification Park became one of the most beautiful parks in Hanoi. It was renamed Lenin Park when the Soviet Union befriended Vietnam during the US War. Every morning it fills with joggers and in the evening with promenading couples. |
