Aletschhorn from the Monch

The Aletschhorn is a 4000 metres peak located in the centre of the Bernese Oberlands.

It  is the second highest peak in the Bernese Alps
( The Finsteraarhorn is the highest ).

Konkordiaplatz is the junction of four large glaciers:-
the Aletschfirn, the Jungfraufirn, the Ewigschneefäld and the Grüneggfirn.
 The main Aletsch Glacier originates from Konkordiaplatz.
