1. Bus from Kathmandu to Dumre.
Local bus from Dumre to Besisahar.
Camp in grounds of hotel.
2. Walk up through Besisahar, cross Pam
Khola, climb ridge, cross col and continue
to Baglungpani. Camp on terraces. Good views of Manaslu Himal.
3. Contour round then up and along ridge
through villages to Ghanpokhara.
Camp at well or above on terraces.
Good views of Marsayangdi Valley, Manaslu Himal and Lamjung Himal.
4. Continue up ridge through open scrub and
into jungle. Many clearings/ kharka.
Proceed through jungle and camp in large kharka before start of
climb
to Talbrung Danda.
5. Climb up through forest to Talbrung
Danda. Good viewpoint for Manaslu Himal.
Continue round ridgetop and up through rhododendron forest and
kharka.
Views across to Manaslu Himal. Problem to find water on ridgetop.
Descend to col, traverse along hillside then descend and camp
beside stream
in grassy meadows of large amphitheatre.
6. Climb above camp for ridgewalk along top
of Rambrong Danda. Close-up
views of Lamjung Himal also Macchapuchre, Annapurna IV and
Manaslu Himal.
7. Second ridgewalk.
8. Contour round valleyhead and descend to
col. Ascend ridge then traverse
round to a large kharka with stone huts on hillside. ( 1/2 day ).
Excellent views across to Macchapuchre, Annapurna IV, Annapurna
II,
Lamjung Himal.
9. Continue along and down ridge to stone
hut/ Darma Sala.
Excellent views across to Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.
Descend ridge on steep, narrow path into jungle and onto village
of Yangjacot.
Camp in grounds of school.
Good views of Macchapuchre, Annapurnas II and IV, Lamjung Himal.
10. Descend through terraces and farms to
Madi Khola. Cross on suspension bridge.
Ascend to ridgetop. Good views of Macchapuchre, Annapurnas II,
III, IV and
Lamjung Himal. Descend to Dijayapur Khola and cross onto road for
return to
Pokhara.
11. Rest day in Pokhara
12. Return to Kathmandu.
