1. Kathmandu - Trisuli Bazaar - Betrawati:
By public bus to Trisuli Bazaar.
By bus, lorry or taxi to trailhead at village of Betrawati.
Camp on grassy flats alongside Trisuli River.
2. Betrawati - Kispang:
Steep climb through hill villages, terraces and forests.
3. Kispang - Mahoor:
Continue to climb through rhododendron and chir pine to reach
crest of ridge running above the Trisuli River Valley.

4. Mahoor - Rupchet - Larchaa:
Proceed along crest of ridge.
Views of the Ganesh Himal.
Camp in grassy clearing below ridge.
5. Larchaa - Syukcho Kharka
Continue along ridge.
Make a descending traverse from ridge prior to reaching Pangsung
Bhanjyang and
camp at kharka at edge of forest.
6. Syukcho Kharka - Tibling:
Descend through jungle and over rough, uncultivated hillsides.
Continue down to the Tamang village of Tibling.
7. Tibling - Shertung - Burang:
Descend to river and re-ascend to Shertung.
Contour along hillside to reach Burang.
8. Burang - Shanu Kharka:
Descend and cross deep gorge at confluence of Ankhu Khola and
Laba Khola.
Traverse narrow path along cliff face to enter dense forest.
Emerge onto flat farmlands and continue to sprawling settlement
of Laba.
Climb above village and encamp in pastures.
9. Shanu Kharka - Mangeythanti Bhanjyang -
Phapre
Continue to climb into dense forest/ jungle.
Follow faint, little-used trail through jungle to Mangeythanti
Bhanjyang.
Descend to emerge from jungle onto open slopes with meagre
terraces.
Encamp on terrrace.
Views ahead of the Baudha Peak and Himalchuli.
10. Phapre - Buri Gandaki before Arughat:
Descend through terraces.
View down to the Buri Gandaki and up-valley to the Shringi Himal.
Continue down to river and cross to western bank.
Camp at riverside prior to reaching Arughat.
11. Arughat - Kai Barjyang:
Continue downriver and proceed through the major town of Arughat.
Gradual ascent alongside stream to reach village of Kai Barjyang.
12. Kai Barjyang - Gorkha:
Undulating route through hill villages to reach Royal Palace and
Temple on
hilltop above Gorkha.
13. Gorkha - Kathmandu:
By public bus.
