The Makalu Himal from the trailhead at Hille ( Hile )

Hile sits on a ridge and is basically a row of houses on either side of the road.

It is about 13km north of the main town of Dhankuta.

Hile is the starting point for Arun Valley and Makalu Region treks.

 From Hile the road continues to Basantapur
 - the starting / end point for Kanchenjunga Region treks.
